Questions are still raised concerning masturbation:
- Is it a sin?
- Is it healthy?
- Is dry sex and sex without penetration acceptable?
Having no clue of the spiritual ramifications, many Christian leaders mislead parishioners concerning this topic; thereby, opening doors for strongholds and unclean spirits to hold Christians captive. These open doors are hard to close without prayer and fasting. Masturbation is an erotic stimulation especially of one’s own genital organs commonly resulting in orgasm and achieved by manual or other bodily contact exclusive of sexual intercourse, by instrumental manipulation, occasionally by sexual fantasies, or by various combinations of these agencies called also onanism, self-abuse.
Masturbation is a subordinate spirit that controls the mind. Most in general, imagination is necessary or active to obtain an orgasm. Some women imagine a man, women, or both in conjunction with them during the sexual encounter. Many have gone to great extremes to encounter the desired climax. This is why sex toys are used. If sex toys are not available, this spirit controls the mind and suggests other objects (oblong fruit or vegetables, bottles, vibrators, showerheads, etc) to be used as an aide to pleasure. And often times, infections are caused by using such instruments. These toys and objects if not cleaned carry bacteria that are harmful.
Most will not talk about the actual act; however, imagination is powerful. It can suggest forbidden things. The Bibles forbids us from having sex with animals. Believe it, it happens. Leviticus 18:23 “Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any women stand before a best to lie down thereto: it is confusion.” This demon will influence one to use whatever means necessary for a few minutes of pleasure.
I touched on the subject during my Women of Faith Women’s Encounter, January 2010 in an evening service. And although this is a real issue for some Christian women, it was an eye-opening revelation for others. The enemy’s secret and plot was unveiled during that evening service. This is a stronghold that refuses to lose its hold off the women of God. It is flesh warring against the spirit. When you think you are done with it, it draws you back by means of TV, Video, music, loneliness, and emotional instability. It takes the power of God to command it to lose its claws and let you go.
The Bible says. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
In the past, Christian leaders have mainly used two Bible passages to discuss masturbation. Lets discuss the passage, in the Hebrew Scripture (Old Testament), describes the death of Oran. It was a widespread belief that Ornan was killed by God because of masturbation. This even was the source of the term “Onanism”—once used as a synonym for masturbation. But, further analysis indicates that he was murdered for the “crime” of using a primitive method of birth control to avoid a child. Lets’ look at this. “But Ornan knew that the heir would not be his, and it came to pass, when he went to his brother’s wife, that he emitted on the ground, lest he should give an heir to his brother” NKJV Spirit Filled. Therefore, “Onanism” is in this text is rarely used today.
If we look at the Greek words “pornea” and “akatharsai,” found throughout the Scriptures are often translated as “fornication” and “‘uncleanness.” There are 32 verses in scripture that contain the word “pornea” in the original Greek. According to Strong’s concordance, when used in the Bible literally, it includes the activity of prostitutes, adultery, or incest.
Figuratively, it suggest idolatry or sexual intercourse between unmarried persons. These spirits open doors to perversion, pornography, homosexuality, adultery, and masturbation. The word akatharsia, a noun, and akathartos, an adjective, appears in Romans 1:24, 2 Corinthians 12:21, and Galatians 5:19. It is often translated “uncleanness” in some Bible versions.
Sex is great and beautiful, but created for husband and wife. Anything outside of that is fornication, homosexuality, masturbation…
This topics still remains controversal and probably will be a topic of discussion among the saints until the end of time. Nevertheless, I am to contend for the faith that was once given to the saints. Therefore, I am going to share some scriptures with you, meditate on them. I always believe if you want to know the truth, God reveals his purpose and will in your life. Ask yourself these questions:
“How do I feel after and why is this a question for me? “ And for those of you who are not saved, ask yourself. “Why am I concerned?” “Is it wrong?” and “Will it harm me?” If you want truth, the Lord will speak.
The result of sin is spiritual death and eventually physical death. The Bible says the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23
Psalm 119:35-37 – “Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. Turn my heart toward your statues and not toward selfish gain. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.” together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” NIV
