Refresh Yourself — Mix It UP

Summer is here. And, it–is–hot! Don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen? Who wants a refreshing juice drink? I pulled these recipes together when trying something different and fast. I think you will enjoy them.

Summer Mixed Drink
Ingredients:

Pour bottle of Cran-Pomegrante Juice into pitcher with or without ice. If using a smaller pitcher, leave enough room to add 1/3  of  pitcher with Raspberry Lemonade . Add strawberries & sliced lemons. Pour Raspberry Lemonade into pitcher – do not mix

For a quick kielbasa meal

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of Kielbasa turkey sausages
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 cup chopped white onion (optional)
  • 2 large gloves – garlic
  • 1 cup of green peppers
  • 1/2 red pepper cut (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • pinch of sugar
  • 3 dashes of pepper
  • 2 dashes of salt teaspoon

Boil kielbasa turkey sausages over a medium flame until done. Drain and add olive oil. Add fresh cut garlic, and red unions. Once the onions and garlic have sautéed, in a separate sauce pan, mix water and Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce. Add barbecue sauce ingredient to olive oil and add salt, pepper, sugar, hot sauce and green peppers.Cook to desire thickness and taste. Simmer for 10 minutes and eat with rice or pasta.

Try adding lunch meat to your salad


If you have lunch meat, and just refuse to turn on the stove or oven, make a salad and add lunch meat to your salad.
